DNA

Denver Botanic Gardens conducts genetics research in a number of ways. A key component of this research is the extraction of DNA from tissue samples or museum speicmens.

An inventory of DNA samples is kept in the Research Database. Please submit a spreadsheet of your new samples to the Scientific Data Manager.

Samples should be labeled with labels printed using the Brady i3300 printer in the Genetics Lab.

Samples that are currently being used for research can be stored in the -20°C freezer. Samples not currently in use should be kept for long term storage in the -80°C freezer.
