Tissue samples are stored in sealed plastic bins within the Bioreposiroty located in the laboratory.

Bins are labeled with both a number and a snapshot of the contents.

Relative humidity within bins is tracked and recorded on a paper sheet located in the cabinet.

Transfers

Tissue samples are available on GGBN and may be loaned or transferred to researchers outside of this institution.

Tracking the transfer of tissue samples is crucial and is done within the Research Database.

Transfers of materials out of OR into the possession of Research and Conservation Staff should always be recorded.

Complete the Biological Asset Transfer Form and save it here: Q:/Research/MySQLDatabase/DataUpdates/OutstandingRequests using the format YYYYMMDD_FirstInitialLastName_TransferName.
